The black and white original for this was a commissioned piece for a private client. [link] This version is because I am prepping for two very different shows in the next 2 months, and needed another "fantasy" piece for one of them. When this piece is finished I will be retiring the black and white version from my deviantART prints. This may take its place if there is any interest in it.

Update: There have been changes made with many more to come. This one is going to take awhile.

Update 2: This is to answer an anatomy issue that was brought to my attention. The concept is that the avatars are moving counterclockwise over a spherical surface surrounding the symbols. I hope this helps.

Update 3: Hind legs to shade, fur to do, then interminable scaling...........also I wanted to get the last update out of the gallery.

Update 4: An axiom for art: Applying scales to a dragon does take forever.............................

And also the eight diagrams represents the elements of feng shui and the Chinese martial art of Baguazhang.

nicely rendered. How did you come up with the I Ching combination? Is it from the client?

Thank you very much, Sam. The scales have reached the dragon's hips, on my comp, and there is tired rejoicing. It amazes me just how much math is involved with this piece. :D
