Crucifixion Window II, A Study by keight Crucifixion Window II, A Study by keight

One of a series of five pieces using this style and symbology based on occurrences described in the Bible's New Testament. This was also a concept piece for a stained glass window, so it is a bit more colorful than historical documentation would warrant.

I wanted the design of this to work better with the rest of the series. Enjoy.

Manages to suggest both the cross and the believers lingering at its base, as well as the scene at the crypt three days later with the stone rolled away...

Thank you, Sam. That may be the reason the dawn scene in the garden won't gel in my head.

the colors are very harmonious, and i like that it more of an abstraction, a feeling, rather than a straight scene.

I thought she was about the age of our eldest grandson; who is very annoyed he couldn't start kindergarten this year because he turned 5 this past Monday. :D

lol. Kaylie's Birthday is in March and delighted to be going to school like her older siblings.

Amelia who just turned 4 is also annoyed she cannot go. we even got her a small backpack for her birthday because she felt so left out that everyone else got one for school and she didnt.

I think you posted this at Pixelbrush too, right? I remember seeing it somewhere and I liked it. As far as critique goes, I'm only thinking outloud, but the overall shape matches most of the other forms except that most of the other forms come to a point at their tops while the overall shape is rounded. My sense is that it might have been better to repeat that pattern but I can't say I'm strongly opinionated about it. Gorgeous work, regardless.
