I wanted to paint a tiger; but due to real life exigencies I didn't want to start from scratch. So this is the tiger from "Balance" coloured on Photoshop. I think I have finally got the cat integrated with the background, and the shadow issues fixed. This version is a bit larger as I was prepping it for a print; only to discover I am out of yellow ink. I am through playing with this one now, honest, so I do hope you enjoy it. :)

EDIT 30 August: The ink arrived and in the course of fighting with my choice of the never-to-be-used-again print stock, I followed some advice I ran across in the newest issue of ImagineFX, so here you go.

If you absolutely have to have a print of this, send me a note, DON'T JUST STEAL IT.

This time I am calling it finished. I printed it and double matted it this morning. I still have to put all the show information in the back of it and "OOoo A Shiny!" and then they'll be ready for their respective shows.

Much improved with the shading and darker hues.

Thank you, Steve. I finally realized what I should have seen much earlier. This is one of those times, working through serious pain, when painting digitally is a more cost effective way to go; deleting pixels is much cheaper than wasting pigments and paperstock while I figure out how to do my job under the new working conditions. :D

Yes, it costs me about a buck every time I hit the trigger, so I try not to shoot at random.

:D I don't blame you, Random is a snarky weasel who shoots back, often in the back; but he plays a mean set of drums. (Not so obscure book character reference).

It finished even better than I thought it would and I thought it was going to be awesome.
