Sher Khan Is Not Amused by keight Sher Khan Is Not Amused by keight
:icondonotplz::iconusemyartplz:

I wanted to paint a tiger; but due to real life exigencies I didn't want to start from scratch. So this is the tiger from "Balance" coloured on Photoshop. I think I have finally got the cat integrated with the background, and the shadow issues fixed. This version is a bit larger as I was prepping it for a print; only to discover I am out of yellow ink. I am through playing with this one now, honest, so I do hope you enjoy it. :)

EDIT 30 August: The ink arrived and in the course of fighting with my choice of the never-to-be-used-again print stock, I followed some advice I ran across in the newest issue of ImagineFX, so here you go.

If you absolutely have to have a print of this, send me a note, DON'T JUST STEAL IT.

This time I am calling it finished. I printed it and double matted it this morning. I still have to put all the show information in the back of it and "OOoo A Shiny!" and then they'll be ready for their respective shows.

Thank you, Steve. I finally realized what I should have seen much earlier. This is one of those times, working through serious pain, when painting digitally is a more cost effective way to go; deleting pixels is much cheaper than wasting pigments and paperstock while I figure out how to do my job under the new working conditions. :D

Yes, it costs me about a buck every time I hit the trigger, so I try not to shoot at random.

:D I don't blame you, Random is a snarky weasel who shoots back, often in the back; but he plays a mean set of drums. (Not so obscure book character reference).

I'd like to get all arty and be able to say all sorts of clever stuff but I'm not too good at that. I'll just say it's stunningly beautiful.

Bernie, the fact that you say this is "stunningly beautiful" and have added it to your favorites, means a good deal more than clever verbosity. Thank you, most sincerely, thank you.

Thanks, Steve. I think I need to grab a toy critter that's about the same shape, throw some light on it, and re-work the lighting. The meds may have eased the neural pain, but at the cost of dulling the problem-solving type thinking. The nearly opaque green water is not to far off the photos I reffed, but............
