Where has the year gone?

Journal Entry: Sat Jun 28, 2014, 3:40 PM

Updates:

Lets see:

Last year was full of my health issues, home repair and remodeling, the death of my RAID data drives, one local convention, a couple of holidays, and a funeral. Oh, I did manage to finish that multi-media experiment that was about five minutes from finished before the world went crazy. It is in my gallery...and seems to be hinting it wants more done to it.... I dunno.

This year has been full of more of my health issues, trying to finish up the home repair, repairing the work computer - it is still a bit unstable, no conventions, a couple of holidays, and another funeral. Doctor appointments are now far enough apart and my hands are co-operating enough to consider restarting the art projects on hold. It is good to get beyond the "I am a patient" mindset.

Thank you. My surgeons are pleased. The quickly caught and removed breast cancer seems to be really gone. My next check-ups are next week. Things are looking good.

Yeah, it's been an "interesting" year alright.  :P  I haven't had nearly the topsy-turvy time you've had (well, aside from my father passing away a half year ago, and... well... living with a dog that thinks I have fangs and breathe fire), but lots of things to keep me wondering where my feet were on the shifting ground under me.

Praying for strength -- emotional, spiritual and physical -- for you and for your family!

Thank you very much. Sending our oldest, and widowed, daughter off on a flight, the night before my last surgery, to help her uncle and cousins ease her aunt's passing, and help them come to grips with imminent death and how to support each other through the transitions ahead, was a real blessing. My baby brother's wife passed away the morning of a very dear friend's military funeral; five days post-op for me.

Our Lord has the lot of us by the scruffs of our necks, perhaps, in his very strong arms. From all of us, thank you again. :hug:s to all of you.

wow....    just wow...

I appreciate your strength... or perhaps more to the point, your ability in weakness to lean on the Lord's strength, and see His hand at work.  My prayer for all of those of us, in each of our journeys, that we will be able to somehow reflect that in our art -- not in easy platitudes and flowers and crosses, but through the pain and darkness and confusions to see the Light as it penetrates into our deepest soul.

Blessings!

Thank you. :) Sometimes it does seem more like an acute desire not to have to "go to Nineveh" the hard way; and a desperate attempt to prevent friends and family going that route, either.

Blessings!

Very true, yes.

Well, I always appreciate your heart here, and the way you share it.
